How PhenoTrade works
PhenoTrade verifies reputations. It does not process payments, ship anything, or stand between you and the person you are dealing with. Here is the whole loop, start to finish.

Someone vouches you in
Membership is invite-only. A member spends one of their invites on you, and that link is permanent — their name sits next to yours. Nobody buys their way in, and there is no open registration to scrape.

You open a shop
Your shop holds your listings, your region, your policies, and your reputation. Free members can post three trade-only listings. Selling needs a plan, because anyone earning money here should be paying for the room.

You list genetics
Seeds, clones, pollen, tissue culture. Photos are re-encoded on upload so the GPS coordinates your phone buried in them never publish. Flower, extracts and edibles are rejected at submission — this is a genetics platform, not a dispensary.

Someone opens a deal
A member inquires on your listing and a deal room opens between the two of you. Messages in it are encrypted in your browser. We store ciphertext and hold no key, so a subpoena of our database returns blobs.

Contact details reveal once
When you accept, your off-site channel — Signal, email, Telegram, whatever you chose — is revealed to that member and only that member. Every view is logged, and you see who looked and when in your shop settings.

The exchange happens off-platform
Directly between the two of you. PhenoTrade never touches money or genetics, takes no cut, and holds no escrow. If a tracking number changes hands it is encrypted to the pair of you; we keep four digits and a timestamp as dispute proof.

Both sides confirm, then review
A deal counts only when both people mark it done. Reviews are double-blind — neither of you sees the other's until both are in — then they lock. Reputation here is not for sale, not removable, and not something a plan upgrade improves.
What we can still see
We are straight about this rather than claiming zero knowledge. We can see who dealt with whom and when, because that graph is what makes reputation mean anything. We cannot see what you said, what you shipped, or where you live. The full accounting is in the transparency report.
